Not only does the Embassy Theatre host many fantastic music events, but it also plays a vital part in the community, hosting regular Blood Donor sessions, and it's the beating hub for Jobs Fairs and the annual SO Festival.The Culture House construction project commenced in September 2024 with extensive renovations completed in April 2025 that included the replacement of the auditorium seating.SolutionThe venue had an existing retractable system that was tired and required considerable effort to set up. After lengthy discussions at the tender stage, our design was chosen as the best way forward for the facility. We were able to accommodate a faceted retractable system with side banks at 45 degrees to draw the audience into the performance space. We were the only company that could join the system as one bank and provide a semi-automatic folding mechanism for the chairs, which has reduced set-up time from 1 hour plus to less than 10 minutes, a real win for the end user. Fitted with Gallery 3 high back chairs and polished wood arms, it provides a truly professional Theatre feel.The balcony has fixed seating featuring the same Gallery 3 chairs and the Monet Chair for the luxury VIP Seating. A further 200 folding chairs were supplied at floor level with complimenting trolleys, enabling the space to be quickly cleared for non-seated events.

From age 4 through 14, they welcome students who are ready to think deeply, question meaningfully, and grow ethically.With rapid growth, Gideon Hausner had a desperate need to expand their facilities. The lack of gymnasium/theatre space prevented the school from hosting their own home games and productions.SolutionHussey Seatway’s TP telescopic system was the ideal solution. We designed a telescopic seating unit with an extensive range of features to meet the customer’s exact specifications. The seating system features soft-start power operation, intermediate steps with aisle lights. To ensure that the seating could quickly and easily be configured to accommodate both sporting and other events, an electronic partial opening selection was installed allowing the unit to be opened to pre-set configurations at the touch of a button.The platforms feature self-storing side rails and removable front rails, both with tinted acrylic infill panels, as well as twist & store P rails in the aisles. The platform decks are carpeted as standard and the system features laminate fascia’s to improve the appearance of the unit when closed. Fully upholstered Gallery 3 chairs were the specified seating type, chosen to provide outstanding levels of comfort and high specification finish. The chairs feature wooden arms and automatic operation dual action gas struts. Custom brushed aluminium donor plates were also installed to the customer’s requirements.

Background of organisationNYU London is an affiliate of New York University, which creates a study abroad programme of exceptional quality for its students, offering around 450-500 undergraduate students per semester. This year, NYU London moved to its new location at 265 Strand, in the heart of central London. Now, 265 the Strand contains larger lecture halls, allowing the site to invite renowned academics from across the United Kingdom for discussions and events.SolutionThe client required a flexible teaching space, and our S200 LTR was deemed the perfect choice. At the touch of a button, the seating can be closed away to enable the versatile use of their teaching spaces. The retractable chairs incorporate a continuous writing ledge that uniquely folds and creates a fascia to the system. When closed, these were finished in a high-quality Oak veneer. Within the treads of the retractable structure, we incorporated PixelTUF USB and power charging sockets, a must-have for any modern teaching space. 

Location: California, USAPremier Nutrition Company (PNC) is one of the fastest-growing organisations in the proactive wellness space. They have been recognised as a Great Place to Work™ for nine consecutive years as of 2025 and currently rank eighth on Fortune Magazine’s Best Workplaces list within their category. Their continued growth created the need for a fourth headquarters building, which they found at the EmeryTech complex in Emeryville.As they prepared to expand, Premier Nutrition wanted their new space to reflect their belief in how physical environments influence creativity, connection, and overall well-being. This project became an opportunity to extend the modernisation of their workplace and design an office where neuroscience-informed thinking shaped the experience. A key part of this vision was the all-hands area, a space used for weekly and quarterly gatherings. The furniture throughout this zone is designed to move easily, allowing the room to shift between large meetings, collaborative sessions, and even national sales events. This flexibility gives employees greater control over their environment and supports a sense of autonomy.SolutionPremier Nutrition came to us with a clear vision for a bright, collaborative, and highly adaptable all-hands space. To support this, we designed and delivered a fully retractable seating unit that allows the room to transform depending on the needs of the moment. When extended, the seating accommodates large team gatherings; when retracted, it opens the floor for alternative uses and more dynamic configurations.The final installation features eleven rows of seating with capacity for 225 people. To ensure smooth transitions between open and closed positions, the system includes folding rails. The fascia panels and side boards were finished in a custom wood tone to blend seamlessly with the surrounding architecture. To bring the space to life and align with Premier Nutrition’s brand identity, the benches were upholstered in three bold colours that add energy and visual interest to the room.Through this collaboration, we helped Premier Nutrition create an all-hands environment that is functional, flexible, and aligned with the way their teams work today, while giving them the freedom to adapt the space as their needs evolve.

Location: Bromley, UKThe Ravensbourne School is a secondary academy located in the London Borough of Bromley. Set across 22 acres, the campus features a blend of historic and modern architecture, including several Grade II listed buildings dating back to 1911. Over the years, the school has expanded to include contemporary facilities such as a dedicated Sixth Form block, sports and fitness amenities, two libraries, and a fully equipped TV studio.As part of their ongoing commitment to enhancing learning spaces, Ravensbourne School sought to refurbish an outdated computer room and transform it into a functional new lecture room.SolutionWhen the school approached us, their initial vision was to install a retractable seating unit that would accommodate 90 pupils. After assessing the room dimensions, we advised that a retractable system would not achieve the desired capacity within the available space.To meet their requirements, our design team proposed a custom fixed tiered seating solution. Using our S200 LTF seats, we created a configuration that delivered the full seating capacity needed while maximising comfort, sightlines and efficient use of the room. Location: London, UKSouth Hampstead School, a prestigious all-girls institution in London, caters to pupils aged 4 to 18 and is known for its academic excellence and forward-thinking ethos. After completing its new senior school building in 2015, the school turned its attention to a new ambition: transforming Waterlow Hall into a dynamic performance and assembly space that could serve both students and the wider community.The vision was clear. South Hampstead wanted a contemporary, flexible venue that could host everything from theatrical performances and school assemblies to public events and examinations. The space needed to be practical, sustainable, and capable of supporting up to twelve distinct uses, all while maintaining a high standard of design and functionality.SolutionTo meet this ambitious brief, Hussey Seatway provided the Seatway TP retractable seating system, fitted with the elegant Gallery 3 chair. This solution allowed seating for up to 400 audience members, with the flexibility to reconfigure the space as needed. The facia boards were carefully matched to the hall interior finishes, creating a seamless and cohesive look. The chairs were upholstered in a bold, autumnal orange, adding warmth and vibrancy to the space.Waterlow Hall officially reopened in 2020 as a state-of-the-art venue featuring tiered retractable seating, stunning wood panelling, and exceptional acoustics. The four-storey learning hub will provide Chichester College with state-of-the-art Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) facilities and a dedicated Higher Education (HE) space.SolutionHussey Seatway were delighted to be selected to supply Chichester College with our S200 LTF seats.  Working alongside designers Chalk, we developed a faceted fixed tier system with integral chairs providing seating for 60 students. To enhance the learning experience, we have incorporated OE Pixel TUF Socket into the writing ledges, providing easy charging ports for students to charge their laptops, tablets, and phones. The use of vibrant colours helps to add a modern aesthetic to the building.

As part of their ambition to provide students with top-class facilities a new multi-purpose auditorium was constructed. The project opportunity came to us from the school investor who requested a high-end seating solution for the auditorium and was led by our local dealer Mediterranean Building Materials (MBM). SolutionThe project design started off with a standard rectangular 16-row telescopic platform system, however, as a solution-based company, we put forward a number of designs, one of which was for an angled retractable system. After various presentations to the client team, they could see the benefits of this proposal which allowed an increased capacity whilst also improving the intimacy of the auditorium.The retractable system featured a generous 1m row depth which contributes to high levels of comfort and wide walkways for the audience. Our welded retractable platforms system ensured that despite the increased row depth the rigidity of the structure was maintained. Veneered fascia boards were fitted to the front of the system providing an elegant appearance when closed.The chairs were procured from Ascender of Spain by our dealer MBM, their high-end seating products proved to be the perfect fit to complement our precision engineered retractable structure.
