Maple supplied and installed perforated panel façade for a new car park as part of Eden Campus redevelopment.

Design

  • Perforated panel façade features on all four elevations
  • Flat band of mesh panels frames the façade at top and lower levels
  • Laser-cut diamond pattern creates a honeycomb effect

Manufacture

  • Panels powder coated in silver for a glossy finish
  • Desktop simulations used to test structural integrity
  • Each panel features a 50mm folded return forming a sawtooth configuration
  • Full-size mock-up panels provided for approval

Installation

  • Panels positioned to catch sunlight at different angles
  • Recognised onsite for PPE compliance and MEWP controls
  • Specialist 30m scissor lift required for south elevation
