Fire Protection for an External Balcony on Occupied Apartments

OVERVIEW

The brief:

Scope:

  • Remotely assist on the site survey and measurement
  • Design and manufacture the casings
  • Delivery to site

When Pro Tek Interiors contacted Cryotherm regarding a system to fire protect the structural steel of an external balcony for an apartment block, we knew after seeing the drawings that Rockliner would be ideal for this project.

The building was occupied so we prefabricated Rockliner structural steel fire protection, ready to be installed on site, reducing installation time and minimising disruption on site.

Rockliner is installed using a snap-lock method for a strong and stable installation and is available in various colours and finishes including a durable leather grain which has been regularly used for external fire protection and decorative external fabrication.
