Case Study: Fulham Palace Road, Hammersmith, London

GYPDECK 18 + UFH was selected for a mixed-use development comprising of apartments and retail space on Fulham Palace Road in Hammersmith, London. The system was chosen for its exceptional acoustic and underfloor heating output performance. The lightweight structure of the GYPDECK 18 system offered a superior alternative to traditional screeds. Ideally suited to residential developments such as apartments, GYPDECK 18 dry screed panels were installed in combination with ResoTherm XPS R insulation boards, providing an integrated underfloor heating and acoustic solution. The system was installed directly beneath the floor finish, ensuring seamless integration with the building design.

The GYPDECK 18 panels feature low thermal resistance, enabling efficient heat transfer and optimal underfloor heating performance. The CNC-routed ResoTherm XPS insulation panels offer high compressive strength, making them particularly well-suited to areas with heavy foot traffic. The project comprises new-build structures of four and five storeys, plus a basement, and includes 34 residential units and two ground-floor retail spaces, covering an area of approximately 3,369 sqm.

Resonate supplied GYPDECK 18 + UFH for all 34 flats, which range from one- to three-bedroom units.
