OVERVIEW
Walnut Tree Walk Primary School, a unique school with a child-centred approach to learning, sought to revamp its outdoor play area to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for its students. The school decided to collaborate with Hand Made Places to design, manufacture and install new and innovative play structures.
Our team conducted a thorough assessment of the school's outdoor space and we designed a custom solution that included a combination of modern play structures, including Heron’s Nest, Imaginative Play Blocks, A Climber Play Block, Steps Play Block, Discovery Tables, a Dry Wipe Board and a Chalk Board.
The school also wanted to create a new and exciting outdoor classroom and play area. Broxap, of which Hand Made Places is a division of, suggested a Newcastle Monopitch canopy to create the outdoor classroom element, which would sit adjacent to the school building and lead out into renovated play area.
Constructed from mild steel which has been hot dipped galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461:2022 and polyester powder coated to Traffic Yellow (RAL1023), the canopy features multi-wall polycarbonate roof sheeting and gives the outdoor area a pop of colour.
The new play structures provided opportunities for physical activity, social interaction, and imaginative play, contributing to a positive and engaging outdoor environment for the students. The students were thrilled with the new play area, and the school was impressed with the quality and safety of the equipment.
This project was a testament to our commitment to providing high-quality and safe playground equipment for educational institutions. We are proud to have contributed to creating a fun and safe outdoor space for the students at Walnut Tree Walk Primary School.
