OVERVIEW
At Aluprof UK, we are proud to contribute to the transformation of Henry Wood House — a striking 16-storey modernist landmark in central London. Originally built in the 1960s, the building stretches from the north end of Regent Street to Portland Place.
Commissioned by Derwent London, Ben Adams Architects led the sensitive rejuvenation of the building’s envelope, while Fora and interior designer Nice Projects revitalised the interiors to create flexible workspaces and new restaurant areas.
Although the structure remained robust, the facade had significantly deteriorated, with outdated window systems nearing the end of their service life. The refurbishment focused on bringing new life to the occupied building by fully repairing the external envelope and creating a welcoming new ground floor public realm.
The new MB-SLIMLINE window systems supplied by Aluprof significantly improve both thermal and acoustic performance, enhancing energy efficiency and user comfort. With a refreshed exterior and upgraded glazing, Henry Wood House now offers a contemporary, high-performance environment while preserving its modernist architectural character.
