OVERVIEW

Due to the highly constrained space along the side of the building, this custom-designed Acoustic+ enclosure was engineered with overhead bracing to eliminate the need for internal post supports. This design maximized usable space without obstructing airflow or maintenance access. To blend seamlessly with the building’s exterior, the screen slats were powder-coated in a complementary finish, effectively concealing the HVAC equipment while maintaining a clean and modern appearance. This modular approach, paired with a bespoke design, successfully overcame spatial limitations without compromising acoustic performance, visual appeal, or project timelines

Installation

To streamline the installation process and minimize disruption on site, the enclosure's base and side panels were pre-fabricated in our factory in Leeds. This approach not only ensured higher precision and quality control but also significantly reduced the time and labor required during the final installation phase. As a result, the total on-site installation time was reduced to just three hours, allowing the project team to meet tight scheduling requirements and minimize impact to ongoing site operations.

Design

Due to the highly constrained and narrow access space along the side of the building, a standard acoustic enclosure design would have been impractical. To address this challenge, a custom-engineered Acoustic+ enclosure was developed with a unique structural configuration. This bespoke design incorporated overhead bracing, which eliminated the need for internal post supports. By removing internal bracing, the design maximized usable internal space while maintaining structural integrity, acoustic performance, and ease of maintenance access.
