Royal Geelong Yacht Club: Changing Places Installation (CHS Healthcare)

OVERVIEW

Astor Bannerman is pleased to have partnered with CHS Healthcare to support the installation of a Changing Places facility at the Royal Geelong Yacht Club in Victoria, Australia.

Situated on the Geelong waterfront, the Royal Geelong Yacht Club (RGYC) is a major venue for national and international sailing events and plays a key role in local tourism and community engagement.

The new facility forms part of the Geelong Waterfront Safe Harbour Precinct Project, which aims to enhance public amenities and accessibility for all visitors.

Astor CTE3-CP Height Adjustable Changing Table

As part of this project, Astor Bannerman supplied the CTE3-CP Height Adjustable Changing Table – a robust, user-friendly solution developed for multi-user, public environments.

Key features include:

    • Electric height adjustment to support safe and dignified transfers
    • 200kg safe working load, suitable for a wide range of users
    • Emergency stop button for added user safety
    • Wipe-clean surface designed for hygiene in high-traffic spaces
    • The facility also includes a ceiling track hoist, accessible toilet, and appropriate circulation space, in line with Australia’s Changing Places Design Specifications 2020.

Enhancing Access to Coastal and Leisure Environments

The inclusion of a Changing Places facility at a high-profile venue such as the Royal Geelong Yacht Club highlights the increasing priority placed on accessibility within community and recreational settings.

It ensures that individuals with complex disabilities, along with their families and carers, have access to appropriate hygiene facilities when visiting the waterfront and attending major events.
