Southern Remand Centre

Work has been advancing on the new Southern Remand Centre at the Risdon Prison site in Tasmania with the cooperation of Dart Valley Systems. Our range of Safe Ensuite high security products have proved essential to the centre’s desire to improve correctional facilities for remdandees.

The Southern Remand Centre will be the state’s first purpose-built facility created explicitly for people on remand, to allow them to be held entirely separate from the sentenced prisoner population. It is due to open in early 2022.
