Cape Cod Factory Painted softwood weatherboards for external timber cladding in a range of profiles and sizes. Suitable for private, commercial and infrastructure projects including:
Cape Cod Timber Cladding is manufactured from Canadian lodgepole pine which is then kiln-dried and band sawn to produce a textured face. Lodgepole pine works well with hand or power tools, takes nails readily, and holds them securely.
Lodgepole pine seasons easily with little shrinkage and remains dimensionally stable when dry. The wood's intergrown knots are generally small and sound and readily accept and retain the factory-applied coating.
Cape Cod Timber Cladding is sealed on all sides with PPG Machine Applied Coatings, which is a 100% acrylic, breathable water-based paint.
This finish is applied under strictly controlled factory conditions ensuring that the required thickness is applied over the entire surface of the siding. This system produces a uniform finish and maximum protection that cannot be achieved with a site applied paint.
