Description

Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) corner beads, arch beads and plasterboard edge beads for dry lining, drywall and skim plastering applications.

PVC Angle beads/ PVC corner beads (CB2) provide a clean edge and impact protection on external corners.

PVC arch beads (CB2A) create smooth curves in arched reveals and divisions.

PVC plasterboard edge beads (EB0, EB12 and EB15) provide a clean end to plasterboard where it meets another finish such as a brick wall or door frame, and prevents cracking.

Features and benefits:

  • Manufactured from recycled, exterior grade, impact resistant, UV stable PVC, providing a cost effective alternative to steel beads.
  • Not affected by severe weather conditions, and can be specified in areas of high moisture or high salt such as kitchens, bathrooms and pool enclosures.
  • They should always be used within 5 km of the coast.
  • Will not stain or rust during lengthy drying out processes, which is especially common in inclement seasons and locations.
  • Does not pose any threat to safety, either after a heavy impact or if pulled out of the wall - no sharp edges.
  • Provides clean, straight edges.
  • Safe to handle and install.
  • Fast and easy to cut to length with tin snips or a fine toothed hacksaw, and is safer to handle than cut metal.
  • Can be left un-painted.
  • Supplied in 2.5 m lengths.
  • Fit for purpose for the lifetime of the plaster.

Performance/ Approvals:

  • Complies with BS EN 13914-2: 2016.
  • Fire tested to BS 476 (Class 1Y) and will not contribute to the combustion of the system.
  • Part L compliant.
  • Complies with REACH.
