The porcelain decking range, Dura Deck® Inspire, has been crafted to provide a variegated wood-grain finish whilst maintaining the typical qualities of porcelain planks: achieving the look of traditional timber without compromising on strength and resistance.
At 1.8 m long and a width of 200 mm, the products are the only porcelain products available that achieve a timber ‘plank’ appearance rather than the ‘slab’ effect normally associated with porcelain – a feat of engineering and in keeping with the innovation that this product brings to the market.
A solution is provided for applications where fire safety is of heightened importance. Dura Deck® Inspire is completely resistant to open flames and extreme temperatures, with an A1 fire rating in accordance with BS EN 13501. This luxury product is perfect for high-rise applications, such as balconies and roof terraces.
Dura Composites has developed a patent-pending plank retainer system for installing Dura Deck® Inspire on open steel framed balconies, which enables a floating decking system to be installed under self-weight, without the risk of planks falling should a breakage happen. The Dura Deck® Inspire Plank Retainer also helps prevent wind uplift and facilitates the quick removal of the decking for maintenance or similar.
