System components
50 mm thick insulated side and head panels mounted in a 50 x 50 mm U-channel, fixed to the face of the building. The inflatable air bags are constructed from a black cordura fabric and fixed to the inside of the insulated panels. Connected to the air fan with a pipe system to allow for efficient inflation.
Two side pads and one head pad, constructed from medium density (fire resistant) foam, and surrounded with a heavy duty (nylon reinforced) PVC. Mounted on a solid backing plate for secure fixing to the building.
Frame construction: A twin frame system, constructed from steel, and connected via a series of hinged lateral supports. Curtain: A robust, 3 mm thick, tear-resistant, PVC coated fabric. 650 mm side curtains, 1200 mm top curtain.

Operation:
Inflation: Three-phase fan unit fixed to the underside of the shelter roof which runs continuously while the shelter is inflated.
Deflation: Counterweight system which deflates the shelter as soon as the pump is turned off.

Side and head cushions compress upon contact with loading vehicle to create a seal. Air exhausts from the cushions via air vents. Upon completion of loading, the vehicle leaves the dock and the memory foam pads re-form to their original shape, ready to repeat the process.
