Summary
A high performance acoustic wall lining board.
A high performance acoustic wall lining board.
Application
  • Timber stud walls.
  • Concrete block walls.
  • Timber stud walls.
  • Concrete block walls.
Description

A high performance acoustic wall lining board. The boards are suitable for timber stud, brick and concrete block walls and are effective in new builds and refurbishment developments.

At just 27/ 30 mm thick, wall boards represent a slim, space saving solution for highly effective wall soundproofing. This provides a significant benefit against alternative solutions that require separate independent wall linings (100–150 mm thickness). The boards are directly fixed to the existing wall, making them easy to install with minimal disruption to the home owner.

The composition of the board is a good combination of materials to improve absorption, mass and vibration damping. The surface face is 15 mm paper faced HD plasterboard, technically bonded with 7.5 kg/m² mass loaded vinyl, and a 9 mm cross linked polyethylene foam inner surface, and Resoboard4 includes a further layer of 7.5 kg/m² mass loaded vinyl.

Features and benefits:

  • Low space impact on existing wall (27/ 30 mm).
  • Effective airborne noise reduction for sounds such as conversation and television.
  • Paper faced, for easy plaster finish.
  • Airborne sound performance: Resoboard3: 46–48 dB Rw rating. Resoboard4: 52–54 dB Rw rating.

Robust detail compliant:

E-FC-1, E-FC-2 and E-FS-1 (FFT 4).
