The VX4DR-S is mounted above an extended fan coil drip tray.

The Vortex 4 range of terminal valve assemblies is designed to include all of the required valves for controlling and maintaining a Fan Coil Unit or other hydronic terminal unit. All of these functions are offered in a compact package that is designed for quick and efficient installation by the terminal unit manufacturer over an extended condensate drip tray.

Function:

• The Vortex 4 valve sets include a Dynasty EVOPICCV axial pressure independent characterized control valve to maintain design flow rates and provide modulating temperature control as well as a venturi flow measurement device for flow verification purposes.
• The valve set also includes a flushing bypass which can isolate both the flow and return legs and perform terminal unit flushing and system bypassing operations.
• The blow down valve within the valve set and connected terminal unit may be flushed out of circuit and subsequently forward flushed to flush the coil. Back flushing through the valve is to be avoided as damage to the internal valve components may occur.
