Timber sliding sash windows available in two versions:
Box sash, which utilizes a traditional cord, weight and pulley system, providing a completely authentic sash window.
Spiral balanced sash, which uses a concealed spring-loaded mechanism rather than the traditional cord weight and pulley system. Since they do not require a box, the frame of a spiral balance sash is slimmer.
