Tree anchoring system for urban tree planting applications. When used with soil cells the plates sit neatly under the cells to provide additional stability and security.
The ArborGuy AnchorPlate is a low-profile ‘deadman’ anchor system that provides a complete package - no further parts required. This method of securing trees has many advantages over staking and is suitable for large root-balled trees.
Designed to work primarily within depths restricted by possible utility runs or to fit within soil cells sitting on the base held in place by the cells.
For trees larger than 45 cm girth, use two SASAP kits per tree, six anchor wires positioned equally around the rootball, the two straps installed in a ‘Star of David’ pattern.
Consideration should be given to tree crown shape, size and density, location, and prevailing wind speed. Large, dense and/or tall crowns in exposed or rooftop situations with high wind speeds may require extra stability
