Application

Engineered restraint straps can be used for horizontal restraint applications such as tying timber roofs and floors into masonry walls.

Description

HX horizontal restraint straps are engineered to provide the performance of our traditional heavy duty ‘H’ strap. Manufactured from galvanized carbon steel to BS EN 10346. The HX restraint strap is a thin profile (1.5 mm thick) strap suitable for horizontal restraint applications such as tying timber

roofs and floors into masonry walls.


Features and benefits:

  • Quick and easy to install.
  • No notching required.
  • Direct replacement for bent H restraint straps.
  • Lighter and easier to handle than traditional straps.
  • Unique ‘X’ reinforcement in the bend for increased performance.
  • Fixings: Timber fixings eight, 3.75 x 30 mm sherardized square twist nails. At least one fixing must be into 3rd joist or truss.
  • CE and UKCA marked.
  • Meets the requirements of BS EN 845-1.
