Application

Sika® CarboDur® systems are used to improve, increase or repair the performance and resistance of structures for:

  • Damage to structural elements.
  • Improvement of serviceability and durability.

Carbon fibre plates for strengthening a range of structures.


Features and benefits:


Sika® CarboDur® M and CarboDur® S plates:

  • Pultruded carbon fibre-reinforced polymer (CFRP) laminates, designed for strengthening concrete, timber, masonry, steel and fibre reinforced polymer structures.
  • To be bonded onto the structure as externally bonded reinforcement using Sikadur®-30 epoxy resin based adhesive for normal temperatures during application and/ or service.

Sika® CarboDur® S NSM:

  • Pultruded carbon fibre-reinforced polymer (CFRP) flat plate, primarily designed for near surface mounted (NSM) structural strengthening of concrete, timber and masonry.
  • The plate is bonded and fully encapsulated into surface slots using a Sika structural adhesive which is selected based on the design, application and environmental conditions.

Sika® CarboDur® Plate UHM:

  • Ultra high modulus plates are high performance, corrosion resistant carbon fibre plates for strengthening metallic structures. The plates are manufactured to individual project dimensional specifications.
  • When used in conjunction with SikaDur®-30 structural epoxy adhesive, they form the Sika CarboDur® Ultra High Modulus (UHM) Plate System.
