Description

Aerosana Visconn/Aerosana Visconn Fibre is a highly flexible liquid-applied air barrier. As a water-based acrylic dispersion sealant, it can be brushed or sprayed on as a liquid film. Once dry it forms a seamless, elastic, airtight and humidity-variable membrane.

Aerosana Visconn adheres to many types of substrates and can seal gaps up to 3 mm wide and Aerosana Visconn Fibre can seal gaps up to 20 mm wide.

Aerosana Visconn/Aerosana Visconn fibre can be applied via airless paint sprayer, brush or roller and is supplied in 10-litre tins or 600 ml cartridges, the latter being for use with the bespoke Pro Clima Aerofixx sprayer/ sealant gun.

Features and benefits:

  • Passivhaus-certified airtightness component.
  • Speedy.
  • Versatile.
  • Permanently flexible.
  • The application can speed up airtightness installation significantly, especially in awkward retrofit areas around timber elements such as timber joist ends.
  • Once dried it has excellent elasticity giving a robust, long-term flexible airtightness layer which allows for movement.
  • Use to ensure airtightness at difficult or awkwardly shaped junctions around timber joists or wall plates.
  • Plasterboards can be dotted and dabbed onto masonry walls where the product has already been applied over.
  • Can be directly plastered over.

Broad area of application: Wall-to-floor junctions, window reveals, joist ends, doubled-up timber members with a small gap in between, pipe penetrations (especially when a pipe has already been installed, large masonry wall areas/building envelope).
