Application

Phenolic blocks isolate the pipework from the pipe support to limit heat transfer to and from the pipework system and limit thermal bridging as stated in BS 5970:2012 Clause 27.7.

Suitable for steel, copper and plastic pipe, available in a range of thicknesses and pipe diameters. Specials can be made upon requst.

Description

UKCA and CE marked phenolic pipe supports , load-bearing insulation block. Walraven Phenblox®.

Features and benefits:

  • Isolates the pipework from the pipe support to limit heat transfer to and from the pipework system and limit thermal bridging as stated in BS 5970:2012 Clause 27.7.
  • Thermal conductivity determined by testing cylindrical specimen according to BS EN ISO 8497
  • Available in range of thicknesses from 15mm to 50mm
  • Special sizes can be manufactured on request
  • Metal spreader plate included above 50NB for load distribution
  • Foil covering, stepped joint and closed cell structure ensure moisture resistance
  • Bore coating ensures no corrosion on copper pipes
  • Low thermal conductivity means performance can be achieved with thinner insulation
  • High level of fire resistance achieved – Euroclass BL-S1,d0
  • UKCA and CE marked (in accordance with EN14314:2009 + A1:2013)
  • Manufactured in the UK
  • Compatible with Walraven 2S Clamps, HD500 Clamps and Split Band Clips (all specified separately).
