Description

Vincent Timber’s Canadian Douglas Fir is a premium softwood cladding option, offering warm reddish-brown tones with a well-defined grain for an attractive, natural finish. Machined to a wide range of profiles, it suits both horizontal and vertical timber cladding installations.

Kiln-dried for stability, Douglas Fir has minimal dimensional movement and moderate durability, making it a reliable choice for exterior cladding applications. Left uncoated, it will weather gracefully to a silver-grey patina, or it can be stained or painted to maintain colour. Fire treatment to EuroClass B is available via pressure impregnation. PEFC-certified for sustainability.

Features & Benefits

  • Premium Appearance: Distinctive grain and warm tones create an elegant, natural look.
  • Moderate Durability: Classified as Durability Class 3, suitable for external timber cladding.
  • Versatile Finish: Accepts stains and paints well for customised aesthetics.
  • Low Maintenance: Weathers naturally to a silver-grey patina over time.
  • Sustainable Choice: PEFC-certified softwood from responsibly managed forests.
