Description

The V Chamber is a precast square concrete chamber designed for applications up to D400 loading. Its square geometry provides improved structural integrity compared to traditional circular chambers, particularly when accommodating large pipe connections. This shape ensures strength is maintained even with substantial openings, making it suitable for installations where large-diameter pipes are required. The compact footprint also makes it advantageous for use on constrained sites, as it allows for more efficient space usage.

The chamber's design includes a reduced joint length, which limits the areas requiring sealing and minimizes the risk of leakage—an important consideration in high-water table environments, especially for pump chambers. Constructed in two main pieces for depths up to 3 metres, the V Chamber allows for a faster and more straightforward installation process. Square or rectangular excavations can be closely matched to the external dimensions of the chamber, reducing the volume of backfill and spoil. Lifting points are positioned near ground level to enhance installation safety and reduce the likelihood of ground collapse.

The V Chamber is made to order and available in both 225 mm wall thickness to give D400 loading and 150 mm wall thicknesses to provide C250 loading. It can be fully customized with cast-in openings on all four sides to meet project-specific requirements.

  • Optional extras include a glass reinforced plastic (GRP) ladder.
