Preventing unauthorised vehicle access.

The Square RetractaPost 500 and 745 are an effective means of preventing unauthorised vehicle access.

Features and benefits:

• When not in use, the post retracts into its integrated socket and is covered by the integral lid.
• The post can be raised to restrict vehicle access and secured with a padlock (available separately).
• Simple and unobtrusive, the Square RetractaPost 500 / 745 is perfect for use on commercial car parks, vehicle forecourts and domestic driveways.
• The Square RetractaPost 500/745 is manufactured from galvanized mild steel and can be colour coated to any standard BS/RAL number (please state codes at time of order).
• The Square RetractaPost is raised and lowered vertically. When lowered the post is fully below ground and covered using the integral lid.
• The post is padlock able (padlock not supplied) in the raised position by first rotating the post 45° and then attaching the padlock between the post to the lid.

Installation:

• It is recommended that posts are placed no further than 1200 mm apart to ensure no vehicle may pass between the raised posts.
• An excavated hole of approximately 800 mm (1200 mm for 745 mm height) deep and 300 mm² is required for installation.
• Provision for suitable drainage must be made (chippings or similar) at the bottom of the hole. The uppermost 3-400 mm must be concrete.
• The lid of the post should be no more than 10 mm above finished ground level.
• Keep the sliding post clean and occasionally lubricate the lock with Ambersil 40+ or similar.
