The Rio family is a collection of rotationally moulded seating elements composed of an armchair, seat module, and bench. The forms are defined by continuous, rounded geometries without sharp edges, resulting in smooth transitions between surfaces and a uniform wall thickness.
The units are manufactured from low-density polyethylene (LDPE), selected for its impact resistance, flexibility, and resistance to moisture, UV radiation, and temperature variation. These material properties allow the elements to be used in outdoor environments without significant degradation. The same characteristics also make them suitable for indoor and public settings.
The components are available in a range of solution-dyed, UV-stabilised colours. The pigmentation is integrated into the material during production, ensuring consistent colour distribution and improved resistance to fading over time.
For stability, each unit can remain empty, be ballast-filled with water or sand, or be mechanically fixed to the ground using screws, depending on installation requirements and site condition.
