Powerlon® SupaPerm SP100 single-layer breather membrane. A house wrap suitable for timber frame, vertical wall, modular & profiled metal roof installations.
Application

Powerlon® SupaPerm SP100 house wrap for timber frame, modular build, walls and profiled metal roofs.

Storage and handling

  • Store the membrane rolls horizontally in a cool, dry, sheltered store.
  • Handle the membrane with care and ensure that the membrane is not creased or folded.

Installation

  • Secure to the wall or timber structure with stainless steel staples. Staples and nails should be covered by a second layer of membrane.
  • Pull the membrane tight and always fasten loose ends with staples.
  • Powerbond® Double-sided Butyl Tape can be installed between the recommended 100mm overlap.
  • A continuous row of double-sided tape should be laid. A second row of tape can be laid within the same overlap and should be spaced 50mm apart.
  • Powebond® Acrylic Tape can be used as a jointing and sealing tape to seal overlaps or for detail jointing E.g. within a window frame.
  • Protect Powerlon® SupaPerm (SP100) from UV exposure. Cover and finish the construction of the Powerlon® SupaPerm (SP100) installation within a maximum of 2 months.

Corners

  • Loosely install the membrane around corners or make a well sealed butt joint.
  • Do not crease the membrane.
  • In the case of making a corner lap/seal, stagger the joint with a 150mm vertical joint and a 100mm horizontal joint.

Overlaps

  • Horizontal overlaps should be a minimum of 100mm.
  • Vertical overlaps should be a minimum of 100mm.
  • Overlaps should cover any any staples / nails.

See installation instructions for full details.

Description

Powerlon® SupaPerm SP100 is a single-layer non-woven breather membrane fabric which is both water resistant and breathable, installed on the cold side of the insulation on external wall applications.

Powerlon® SupaPerm (SP100) is suitable for use in timber frame, modular, and wall applications. Powerlon® SupaPerm (SP100) creates a breathable layer of protection which lets moisture from within the build to escape allowing the structure to breathe whilst it's water resistant properties protect the building and insulation from water ingress. Powerlon® SupaPerm (SP100) can also be used on profiled metal industrial roof applications.

Can be used in conjunction with Powerlon® VCL 250 or Powerlon® VCL 170 vapour barriers which are installed on the warm side of the building envelope.

Features and benefits:

  • Breather membrane for all closed wall applications, timber frame and modular.
  • Breather membrane for industrial profiled metal roofs.
  • CE approval.
  • Water resistant and breathable.
  • High tensile strength and nail tear resistance.
  • Breathable to BS 4016.
  • Can be printed with your company logo.
