Application
Designed to provide lateral restraint at the top of an internal block wall or the inner leaf of a cavity wall.
Description
The ACS Adjustable Hear Restraint (AHR) is designed to provide lateral restraint at the top of an internal block wall or the inner leaf of a cavity wall. The ‘outer’ section of the AHR is manufactured from a rectangular hollow tube to create and maintain a void in the vertical mortar joint. This allows free movement of the ‘inner section’. A movement joint of 50 mm (maximum) between the soffit / bottom of steel and the top of the inner section will be sufficient to allow the normal movement expected in service as a result of live loading, thermal expansion and contraction and any shrinkage that may occur following construction.
