Description

Architop® is a 2–4 mm thick concrete-effect flooring, providing the look and feel of polished concrete. Characterised by its high strength and exceptional aesthetic qualities, Architop® provides significant installation advantages compared to deep-laid power-floated concrete. Due to its reduced installation time-frame and its timing as a final finish in the project schedule, the choice of Architop® over polished concrete contributes to the de-risking of the project as a whole. Architop® is therefore a popular addition to the portfolio of a high-quality professional concrete installer. A unique power-floated micro concrete, its enhanced robustness makes it a popular choice for restaurants, bars, shops, offices, and residential living spaces.

Features and benefits:

  • Minimal demolition - Architop® can be applied over most existing surfaces without the need for them to be removed.
  • Minimal depth - 3-4mm thickness means little change in existing floor level, enabling retention of existing skirting, door frames, etc.
  • Seamless finish - Architop® can be applied on new or existing substrates
  • Speed of installation - Architop® is installed in approximately a 5 day application cycle.
  • High wear resistance - Architop® provides a durable and sustainable floor finish
  • Available in pre-colours as well as the Art of Harmony colour range and acid stain finishes.
  • Can be installed over under floor heating.

Installation:

  • Installed by experienced, trained applicators.
  • Typical installation time-frame is a 5 days for the complete application cycle, depending on total area and other site-related factors.
  • Substrate requirements: The substrate must be integral and free of cracks or movement likely to cause substrate cracks, as well free from water ingress from below. Minimum substrate requirements: 1.5N/mm2 pull-off resistance, 25N/mm2 surface strength - satisfied by most sand and cement screeds, tiles, concrete.
