Description
Glass fibre-reinforced plastic (GRP) modular handrail.
GRP modular handrail systems are a low-cost and long-lasting alternative to traditional metallic materials. They have low installation and maintenance costs, exceptional corrosion and impact resistance, and high strength-to-weight ratios.
The handrail passed an independent inspection test and was determined to comply with BS 4592-0: Industrial flooring, stairs, and handrails for general duty (0.36 kN/m). The handrail also complies with BS 14122-3 Stairs, Stepladders, and Guardrails.
The moulded fittings are made with a proprietary sheet moulding compound that contains chopped E glass fibre, isophthalic polyester resin, and mineral filler.
