Timber roof deck
BBA Agrément Certificate
Certificate type
A single-layer hybrid waterproofing system providing durable protection, BBA approved for zero falls and living roofs.
Suitable for a variety of applications including blue roofs and living roofs. Force Dalle systems can be installed on all deck types, can be fully or partially bonded in a completely flame free, hot air welded or torch applied application on flat roofs, terraces, balconies and podium decks.
Hybrid waterproofing system that combines the benefits of hot melt systems and advanced polymer-modified bitumen membrane technology to create an exclusive and highly durable system that is a cost-effective alternative to traditional hot melt.
Force Dalle inverted systems can be installed on concrete slab (in-situ/precast) or timber roof decks in accordance with BS 6229:2018 and in conjunction with all roof finishes. It is specifically developed to provide risk-free, added value and speed to the construction programme due to its ultra-fast minimal component installation process.

Root barrier | Force Dalle Flame Free.Guidance for specification option: Force Dalle is a 4 mm thick stabilised polyester reinforced, SBS elastomeric modified, anti-root bitumen waterproofing membrane. Used as top layer in single or multi layer waterproofing system with anti-root additive for use in inverted, warm and cold flat roofs, green roofs and blue roofs. Both surfaces of the membrane have a film finish and on the upper surface a red marker line along the selvedge indicates the 100 mm lap width. |

Drainage layer | HydroSoil Wildflower Living Roof.Guidance for specification option: Comprising a water retention and drainage layer with bonded filter fleece, engineered growing medium and wildflower blanket, Axter's living or green roof systems are designed to accommodate the most varied ecological and environmental requirements. HydroSoil Sedum Living Roof.Guidance for specification option: Comprising a water retention and drainage layer with bonded filter fleece, engineered growing medium and sedum blanket. HydroBiodiverse Brown Living Roof Finish.Guidance for specification option: Comprising water retention and drainage layer with bonded filter fleece, biodiverse 100 mm substrate (substrate surface contour +/- 20 mm) fauna biodiversity, optional biodiverse seed and/or microhabitat creation. |
Execution | Guidance for specification option: Force Dalle is installed in a simple process, combining rapid drying synthetic primer with single or multi-layer Force Dalle fully bonded elastomeric membranes and bitumen compounds. Installation of Force Dalle waterproofing systems is carried out by accredited Axtershield Installers whose operatives have successfully attended Axter’s RBM upskilling course. Force Dalle systems can be installed on all deck types, can be fully or partially bonded in a completely flame free, hot air welded or torch applied application on flat roofs, terraces, balconies and podium decks. All system components are specified and installed to ensure compatibility and single source responsibility, and detailing is completed in full compliance with Axter recommendations and the NFRC Safe2Torch guidance. |
System completion | Interim and final roof inspections by AXTER Quality Assurance (QA) personnel. Final roof inspections by AXTER Quality Assurance (QA) personnel are mandatory for guarantee application. |
Certification | BBA approved, accepted by all third party building warranty providers such as LABC and NHBC. Fully compliant with The Building Regulations and all relevant British and harmonized European standards. |

Primer | Vernis SA Primer. Guidance for specification option: Fast-drying canister primer to be used in conjunction with Force 4000 Flame Free. Provides improved simple and effective adhesion on self-adhesive reinforced bitumen membrane waterproofing systems. |
Insulation | Hytherm ECO XPS and water flow reducing layer. Guidance for specification option: Axter Hytherm ECO XPS is a lightweight, durable, rigid extruded polystyrene XPS insulation board, designed specifically for inverted roof applications and used in conjunction with the Axter water flow reducing layer. It is available in a range of thicknesses to meet the performance requirements of specific applications Axter Water Flow Reducing Layers are supplied as part of our inverted roof insulation systems to improve thermal performance and to help minimise water flow below the insulation heat loss caused by rainwater cooling. Hytherm EPS and water flow reducing layer. Guidance for specification option: Hytherm EPS ADH is a durable, lightweight, rigid expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulation available in both uniform and tapered boards for use in warm flat roofs with limited access and balconies and terraces with regular pedestrian traffic. Axter Hytherm EPS ADH (300) is a tapered expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulation board used to create required falls under compatible bituminous or single ply membranes in warm roof applications. Hytherm HP EPS and water flow reducing layer. Guidance for specification option: High performance expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulation for inverted roofs, balconies and terraced roofs with pedestrian access. Suitable for zero fall designs in both uniform and tapered board schemes. Hytherm HP EPS is used with the Axter water flow reducing layer and gravel ballast or paving protection. Hytherm Ultra XPS and water flow reducing layer. |
