ICe-PIC High Speed Roller Door

The ICe-PIC Door is a twin-skinned fast acting, rapid roller door with its own independent dehumidification system for use on medium to high volume industrial cold store and freezer openings, ideally placed between Chill and Freezer environments but can also be used from Ambient to Freezer. It has been specifically designed for the automation / e-commerce market and is perfect for conveyor applications where frozen products are moved in and out of cold storage through small apertures through insulated walls.

ICe-PIC Doors are designed and manufactured individually in the UK and utilizes many of the same unique features and benefits of The Eiger Door.

Top rollers:

Twin high-grade 6063-T6 aluminium extrusions terminating at each end with 30mm diameter EN8 bright mild steel stub shafts running in self-aligning bearing units. Both are speed synchronised via simplex chain drive with trans-torque collet type bushes incorporated for accurate and independent fine rotational adjustment.

Top roll hood cover:

The fully formed powder coated hood cover constructed from Cr4 mild steel is an essential part of the conditioned air circulation system and additionally provides a warm air reservoir for the protection of the double top rolls, drive motor and transmission drive gear. Its smooth profile and finish contributes to the clean and hygienic conditions required of the food industry.

Controls:

230/ 240 V a.c input, 24 V.d.c output control panel complete with ‘Open’, ‘Close’, ‘Stop’ and ‘Emergency Stop’ buttons. Complete with inverter for soft start/ stop variable speed operation. Factory tested and finally set up on site to suit customers’ individual requirements. Supplied with 1 m of cable with C-Form plug for quick connection. Can be mounted to the immediate left or right side of the door on a fixed mounting plate. Steel powder coated panel enclosure, IP65 rated.

Dehumidification:

Dry conditioned processed air is generated and circulated through the twin-skinned door blades utilising the column exhausts as previously described. The Munters MCS300 dehumidifier, with upgraded fan, removes moisture from the process air thus preventing condensation and the formation of frost and ice that would otherwise inhibit the reliable operation of the ICe-PIC Door.
