Internal Type A Waterproofing coating to BS 8102 2022. A mineral based crystalline coating for the waterproofing below ground structures against both negative and positive side pressure.
Application
Koster NB1 Grey is suitable for use in, but not limited to the following areas:
- Application to any mineral surface i.e., concrete, pre-cast, block, brick, masonry, stone, etc.
- Waterproofing against ground moisture, non-pressurized and pressurized water.
- For both new build and refurbishment projects.
- As a part of a Type A waterproofing system, as per BS 8102 2022.
- In the refurbishment of civil structures such as tanks, pipes, silos, manholes, tunnels, bridges and drinking water tanks.
- For the waterproofing of pile heads and through construction joints.
Description
Koster NB1 Grey is a mineral coating which contains crystallising and capillary-plugging agents.
Uniquely, It can applied to any mineral substrate not just concrete. Many similar materials can only be applied to a new concrete as they require the free lime to activate the waterproofing coating.

- Inhibits salt movement in the substrate when used as a system together with Koster Polysil TG 500.
