Safe One® A2 - A2 Limited-combustible Breather Membrane - Breather Membranes

SAFE ONE® A2 is suitable for all vertical wall applications including partially open cladding with joints up to a maximum 50mm and an overall UV exposure of 50%. SAFE ONE® A2 can also be used in roof applications.

Storage & handling

Handle the membrane with care. Ensure that the membrane is not folded or creased. Store the membrane horizontally away from sunlight in a cool, dry sheltered store. Store Glue cartridges upright.

Installation

A continuous, solid supporting structure or framework must be provided for all applications. The supporting structure can be wood, aluminium, steel or concrete. SAFE ONE® A2 achieves a fire rating Euroclass A2-s1,d0 when free hanging or when directly installed on a supporting structure with a flame-retardant classification of A1 or A2.

The black coated side faces to the outside.

Do not glue the whole membrane surface. Create glue lines /gird lines maximum 600mm vertical or 600mm horizontal centres.

Patch any damaged areas using membrane cut into a circle shape so that the corners do not peel back. The circular patch should be 25mm larger than the damaged area.

Overlaps

It is possible to fix the membrane mechanically with staples. Seal overlaps using Stamcoll Safe Glue Cartridge 310mls. Vertical laps should be 50mm minimum. Horizontal laps should be 50mm minimum. Each cartridge covers approx 8LM with a 8mm bead.

Store glue in a warm environment. Do not use below 5℃ or over 40℃
