Application

Our fibre cement construction boards can be used in a wide range of applications both internally and externally including:


  • Suitable for internal and external use.
  • Fire protection applications include internal party firewall, roof space firewall/spandrel panel, stove/boiler backer, oil tank surround, fire-resistant ceiling board, and timber cladding receiver.
  • Water-resistant applications include basement liner membrane, tile backing board, external rain shield cladding, weatherboard, and wetroom boarding.
  • Render carrier for timber or steel frames, dormer cheeks, bay windows, modular build, and park homes.
  • Sound reduction for party wall partitioning in schools, student accommodation, flats and apartments, and commercial buildings.

Description

STS fibre cement construction boards can be used in a wide range of applications both internally and externally, covering four key areas including fire protection, sound reduction, moisture resistance and rendering application.


The board are particularly suitable for partition walling in damp or wet areas, such as bathrooms. They are also weather-resistant, so can be exposed to poor weather on-site during the construction phase without concern. A weather protective coating is required for permanent exposure.
