Product Application – Supergrip
Suitable For
- Adhesion of finish plaster onto Passive Purple® or Airtight White®
- Adhesion of plasterboards using dot-and-dab adhesive systems onto Passive Purple® or Airtight White®
Supergrip provides an enhanced bonding key between dried Intelligent Membranes coatings and plaster-based finishing systems.
Surface Preparation
- Ensure substrate is fully dry prior to application.
- Remove all dust, debris and surface contamination that may impair adhesion.
Application Conditions
- Do not dilute.
- Minimum application temperature: +5°C.
- Apply between +5°C and +35°C.
- Do not apply in direct sunlight or onto overheated substrates.
Application Method
- Stir thoroughly using a paddle mixer prior to use.
- Apply by roller or suitable low-pressure spray equipment.
- Apply one uniform coat at approximately 100–150 g/m².
- Ensure full and even coverage across the surface.
Drying and Overcoating
- Allow Supergrip to dry fully before installing plasterboard or applying finish plaster.
- Drying time will vary depending on temperature, humidity and ventilation conditions.
Cleaning
- Clean tools and equipment immediately after use with clean water.
- Remove cured material mechanically.

Supergrip – Water-Based Primer for Enhanced Adhesion
Supergrip is a roller-applied, waterborne primer designed to improve the adhesion of plaster and plasterboard fixing systems to dried water-based polymer coatings. It is specifically formulated to be applied over Intelligent Membranes liquid coatings before plaster, dot-and-dab adhesive, or other plaster-based products are applied.
Supergrip creates an extra adhesive key on the surface, ensuring superior long-term bonding between the membrane and the finishing material. Its water-based formulation makes it easy to apply and clean, and suitable for both walls and ceilings.
