The Victron range of Inverter provide advanced solutions to ensure Newton Pumping Systems continue during power interruption by inverting battery stored DC energy to clean and efficient 230 VAC power.

Application

To provide continued pumping of Newton pumps and pumping systems during a power disruption.


For use with the following pumps:


- MultiPlus 12/800/35 (BB1):

  • NP150 pump;
  • CP250 pump.

- MultiPlus 12/1200/50 (BB2):

  • CP400 pump;
  • NP400 pump;
  • NP400W pump.

- MultiPlus 12/3000/120 (BB3):

  • CP750 pump;
  • NP750 pump;
  • SP750 Cutter pump.


- Quattro 12/3000/120 (BB4):

The Quattro unit is mated with a generator that recharges the batteries once they reach a predetermined state of depletion to give unequalled protection against power outage. This battery backup system provides continuous power for the Newton Pumping System and will remove approximately 282 000 litres on one tank of diesel at four pump starts per hour. As long as the fuel tank is replenished, the system offers unlimited battery backup protection.

Description

The Victron range of Inverter/Chargers provide advanced solutions to ensure that Newton Pumping Systems continue pumping during power interruption by inverting battery stored d.c. energy to clean and efficient 230 V a.c. power.


The battery backup range includes three specifically sized Inverter/Charger units plus a number of ancillaries to provide advanced system control and telemetry.

- Quattro 12/3000/120 (BB4):

Provides the largest capacity battery backup available. Consult manufacturer's literature for further details.

Accessories:

- VICTRON BM-V702 BATTERY MONITOR:

The BMV-702 provides real time screen information for the battery or bank of multiple batteries, including battery voltage, discharge current and pump power draw, capacity as a percentage, and temperature.

- VICTRON BMV-712 SMART BATTERY MONITOR:

The Victron BMV-712 adds Bluetooth capability to allow for real-time monitoring of the battery information via a smartphone, as well as providing future connectivity to other Victron Components and batteries.

- VICTRON COLOR CONTROL GX PANEL:

Adds a number of extra features such as Ethernet or Sim Card internet capability with remote monitoring via web portal, and data storage on SD card.

- VICTRON VENUS GX CONTROL PANEL:

The Venus GX Control Panel has the same functionality as the Colour Control GX panel but at a lower cost, due to there being no display panel. The unit has three level inputs and two temperature sensors.


Ancillaries:

The battery backup can be directly used with a range of ancillary products (including Newton pumps, pumping systems, control panels) - consult manufacturer's literature for further information.


Recommended batteries include:

  • 60 Ah High Efficiency battery - 12 V.
  • 101 Ah High Efficiency battery - 12 V.
  • 201 Ah High Efficiency battery - 12 V.
