Application

Engineered light duty restraint straps can be used for vertical restraint applications, such as holding down wall plates to masonry. 

Description

VX vertical restraint straps are engineered to provide the performance of our traditional ā€˜Vā€™ strap. Manufactured from galvanized carbon steel to BS EN 10346. The VX restraint strap is a thin profile (1.2 mm thick) strap suitable for vertical restraint applications such as tying wall plates to masonry walls.


Features and benefits:

  • Quick and easy to install.
  • Direct replacement for bent V restraint straps.
  • Lighter and easier to handle than traditional straps.
  • Unique ā€˜Xā€™ reinforcement in the bend for increased performance.
  • Fixings: Timber fixings three, 3.75 x 30 mm sherardized square twist nails. Lowest fixing shall be within 150 mm of the bottom of the strap.
  • Masonry fixings are the responsibility of the Building Designer.
  • Characteristic capacity: 4.0 kN.
  • CE and UKCA marked.
  • Meets the requirements of BS EN 845-1
