Description

Prominence™ is a steel roofing and walling profile with flat pans. Its panels have underlap edges that allow it to be concealed pierced-fixed to its supports. Some of its features include:

Guidance for specification option:

Plywood backing should be 15 mm CD grade ply. This is to be supported with purlins of minimum 1.00 mm BMT G550, with maximum spans of 600 mm.


Affix with 10g-12 x 25 mm Wafer Head Type 17 screw and M5-15 x 1.2 galvanised steel washer. At rib edge, use multigrip rivets or equivalent to stitch ribs at end of sheet.

Steel Batten.

Guidance for specification option:

Steel battens should be 40 mm x 0.75 mm BMT G550, with maximum spans of 450 mm. This is to be supported with purlins of minimum 1.00 mm BMT G550, with maximum spans of 1200 mm.


Affix with 10g-16 x 16 mm Wafer Tek screw and M5-15 x 1.2 galvanised steel washer. At rib edge, use multigrip rivets or equivalent to stitch ribs at end of sheet.

Timber.

Guidance for specification option:

Affix with 10g-12 x 45 mm Wafer Head Type 17 screw and M5-15 x 1.2 galvanised steel washer. At rib edge, use multigrip rivets or equivalent to stitch ribs at end of sheet.

KingFlor® KF40®.

Guidance for specification option:

For resistance to wind-borne debris, KF40 backing is required.

KF40 should be 0.75 mm BMT, to be supported by wall girts of 1200 mm maximum spans. If panels are to be installed vertically, steel battens with 1200 mm maximum spans should be added.


Affix with 10g-16 x 16 mm Wafer Head Tek screw and M5-15 x 1.2 mm rounded washer.

Manufacturer guidance

Refers to recommended substrate and fasteners if product is to be installed without insulation.

When insulation thickness up to 50 mm are installed, screws may need to be increased in number depending on insulation thickness and density.


When insulation is required, Fielders® recommends the use of a thermal spacer.

Concealed pierced-fixed.

Guidance for specification option:

Prominence™ is concealed pierced-fixed to either plywood or batten supports. Screws can be placed through slotted holes or directly through the sheet.
