Milburngate, Durham - Halifax Soil BS EN 877

Milburngate is a 450,000 sq ft development on the banks of the River Wear in the heart of Durham. With office, retail, leisure and residential space to let.

The requirement was for a cast iron above ground BS EN 877 drainage system with excellent fire ratings and acoustic properties.

Our system's third party accreditation (BSI Kitemark) was enough to convince the client to go with the Halifax Soil. Our products were also a more cost effective option than that of our competitors on this project.

The order was placed via Crossling Newcastle. We delivered each call off direct to their yard, as per their request. Direct to site deliveries were offered at no extra cost, but not required on this occasion.

The job required over 800 meters of pipe (supplied in 3 meter lengths) & over 1200 ductile iron couplings.
