OVERVIEW
Derby Market Hall stands as one of the city’s most prominent and aesthetically significant structures, serving as a vital link between
key areas of the city centre As a Grade II listed building, its renovation required tasteful attention to detail, especially considering its historical importance from the Victorian
era. Our Heritage glazing system, featuring a handmade lead-clothed steel patent glazing system, was chosen to preserve the original design intent seamlessly.
Prior to the multi-million pound refurbishment project, the market hall posed safety concerns. Closure to customers was a frequent occurrence due to the risk of glass windows dislodging in adverse weather conditions. Our Heritage glazing system was selected not only for its visual authenticity but also for enhancing safety and restoring the structural integrity of the Market Hall.
