As part of an infrastructure upgrade to support high-volume catering and clinical food services, the hospital required a robust underground Food, Oil and Grease (FOG) management solution capable of operating 24/7.Aluline was appointed to design and manufacture a bespoke stainless-steel underground grease management system, tailored to the hospital’s drainage layout, peak flows and site constraints.The project included:Custom-built UG4 and UG6 underground separators engineered specifically for healthcare catering loadsFully welded quality stainless-steel construction to deliver long service life, hygiene performance and resistance to corrosionInternal baffling designed to manage both free-floating grease and grease bound to food sedimentsSecure, airtight access covers selected to suit the hospital’s traffic and operational requirementsDrainage review and installation guidance to ensure correct fall, venting, access for inspection and planned maintenanceThe upgrade improved drainage performance, reduced the risk of downstream blockages and supported the hospital’s wastewater protection objectives, while providing a long-life, low-maintenance solution appropriate for a critical healthcare environment.This project demonstrates Aluline’s capability to deliver high-performance, custom stainless-steel underground systems for complex healthcare sites
