This CPD provides the attendee with a general overview of Passive house design and its key principles, followed byspecific criteria and requirements for glazing systems. Providing the attendee with an understanding of passive house design and what is required during the design and construction of buildings to meet the standards set out by the PassivHaus Institute (PHI) and achieve overall certification.

This CPD provides education on the importance of selecting an aluminium system house that prioritises the reduction of both embedded and operational carbon emissions, and the demonstrable evidence required to support sustainable choices.Participants are guided through the full aluminium lifecycle—from the production of primary aluminium, through design and construction, to recycling—and learn how to reduce carbon emissions at each stage. The CPD also highlights the role of aluminium in the circular economy and its contribution to sustainable building practices.
