Landscape architects can take inspiration from the completed works on The Oracle, a stunning public realm scheme in Reading. In 2017, a two-phase improvement plan was completed on the Riverside area of the site. The scheme features a unique design with the River Kennet running through the heart it. Home to several dining and entertainment businesses, the new landscape design has helped to enhance the appeal for tenants and customers alike, creating a premium and award-winning shopping destination.

The new development is the culmination of UCLan’s Masterplan project, launched in 2015, which set out a vision to create a state-of-the-art, sustainable campus for students, staff, visitors and communities for years to come.

Located on Science Central, the USB opened in Autumn 2017 and is a new hub for science, business, living and leisure at the heart of Newcastle. The building welcomes the public and academics alike and has been designed to stand out as a beacon of technical innovation Externally, it is striking with a high-tech glass façade. As part of the project development, Hardscape helped supply materials for Science Square – a generous new public realm space. This draws people into the ground floor where the public, technology and data come together in the forum space, café and ‘showcase labs

Dundee’s dramatic new attraction, the V&A museum, is set to become a world class destination, as work connecting Scotland’s fourth largest city to its Waterfront, continues. Hardscape were privileged to supply the natural stone, both outside the building and inside including the beautiful Carlow Blue limestone flooring and steps leading up to the galleries.

Van Gogh Walk is a community street created to ‘green’ the neighbourhood of Lambeth, South West London. The street was designed to encourage walking and cycling and promote a friendly active community in the area where world-famous artist Vincent Van Gogh lived when he was in London in 1873.

March 2018 signalled the start of a phased opening of the 68,748 sq m expansion which saw more than 90 new shops, cafes, restaurants and leisure outlets open throughout 2018 taking Westfield London to 241,547 sq m, making it the largest shopping centre in Europe.

Westgate Shopping Centre in Oxford reopened in October 2017 after the 1970s built centre was demolished in 2016. The £440 million development now offers shoppers a host of contemporary brands to shop from, as well as a variety of food and drink destinations – including the ever-popular Junk Yard Golf Club. According to the Westgate Oxford Alliance, the newly built shopping centre will welcome approximately 15m people annually, creating 3,500 full time jobs. The shopping centre covers around 800,000 sq. ft (74,300m2), 11,000m2 of which is new paving.
