Hunter Douglas Architectural is committed to this sustainable transition and is taking steps to improve the environmental performance of products, processes, and communication. Environmentally sound materials are key to sustainable buildings. Our strategy is to pick materials that have good environmental properties to start with. We prioritise transparency and ensure that our claims are verified by independent science-based parties. Certifications help to measure and demonstrate the sustainable performance of products and make it easier to communicate about it.
Our products are frequently installed in large buildings: schools, airports, public buildings, hospitals, shopping areas, museums; those places are open to everyone. One more reason why complying with quality and sustainability-related standards being essential for safety and collective welfare is so important. We constantly strive to make sure that our products are free from harmful substances and that they have the lowest possible level of VOC emissions.
