Saint-Gobain Ecophon develops, manufactures and markets sound absorbent ceiling and wall panel systems that contribute to good room acoustics, and support a healthy indoor environment, with a focus on offices, education, healthcare, retail and industrial manufacturing premises.

Our promise, “A sound effect on people”, is the core backbone of everything we do. For thousands of years human beings’ sense of hearing developed and was optimised for an outdoor environment, free from unnatural sound reflexes. As evolution brings us further away from the outdoors we are exposed to ever-increasing unnatural sound and sound reflexes. This sound environment does not only disturb our hearing and ability to communicate, but also our wellbeing and level of performance. In order to improve the indoor acoustic environment, we should strive to resemble the natural outdoor acoustic environment whilst enhancing peoples’ wellbeing and performance.

Sustainability is very important to us, the majority of our acoustic systems produced are made from 3rd generation glass wool, containing more than 70% recycled glass, and we are continuously working to reduce the environmental impact created from products.
