Surespan is one of the UK's leading manufacturers of roof access hatches, floor access doors, AOV smoke ventilation systems, glass skylights, access ladders, riser doors, and access panels. Manufacturing since 1969 from three dedicated factory locations in the West Midlands, we deliver both standard and fully bespoke access solutions engineered to meet the most demanding architectural and structural requirements.

Our product range includes thermally broken roof hatches (standard, fire rated up to 4 hours, sliding, double leaf, solar powered, and retrofit), floor access hatches (recessed, flush, upstand, internal, and heavy duty rated up to H20 loading), a complete AOV smoke ventilation range including the Exi-Vent system, glazed access solutions featuring the SkyView rooflight, Horizon walk-on glass, multi-pane roof lanterns, and the Aero electric skylight range, plus fixed vertical ladders, companionway ladders, and ZIP retractable ladder systems.

All products are independently tested by BRE for IP rating (water and dust ingress), air permeability, weather tightness, and fire performance. Our manufacturing processes are certified to BS EN ISO 9001 and UL-EU approved, and we hold ISO 14001:2015 certification for Environmental Management Systems, reflecting our commitment to sustainable manufacturing practices.

We are a RIBA CPD provider, offering accredited seminars on safe access and escape design to support architects and specifiers in meeting current Building Regulations, BS 9991:2024, and Approved Document B requirements.
