A sealing and bonding tape which has a high strength acrylic dispersion adhesive, and has an elastic LDPE-film carrier and is reinforced with scrim.
Application
Novia UVLT can be used with Novia Breather Membranes such as Novia UV Facade FR, as an edge and lap sealing tape. To fully complete a breather membrane seal and further reduce the air-leakage of the construction, this tape should be used with DSLT.
Novia UVLT is required for use with some breather membranes in accordance with BS 5534 wind uplift requirements. The installation of a two-tape system using both UVLT and DSLT will provide a high specification finish.
Description
Is a sealing and bonding tape which has a high strength acrylic dispersion adhesive.
Features and benefits:
- Particularly suited for use in open facade UV breather membrane applications in walls as it has a high UV resistance.
- UVLT has 24 months UV stability in open rainscreen applications with maximum joint widths up to 30 mm, where <40% of the total area of the membrane is exposed.
- It is suitable for overlaps and joints, on breather membranes within standard roof applications, where additional protective UV resistance is desired.
- UVLT is used to seal membrane overlaps which will protect against external environmental conditions and improve airtightness.
