Etex Building Performance Limited warrants that its products and component parts shall be durable and free from defects due to faulty manufacturing or factory workmanship. Etex Building Performance Limited also warrants that, when combined to form a system as detailed in the Project Pack specification document including associated CAD drawings and any other specific technical recommendations made in relation to this project, will meet the specified system performance. Guidance for specification option: Framing components: Galvanized metal angle fixed to both sides of upper flanges of the beam, either: 25 x 50 x 0.7 mm with 3 mm offset 23 x 30 x 0.7 mm with 5 mm offset if steel size does not allow for larger angle. Framing components fixing: 3.7 x 16 mm (minimum) shot-fire nails at maximum 300 mm centres.
Linings	Outer layer: Promat VERMICULUX-S (refer to steel schedule for thickness). Inner layer: Promat VERMICULUX-S (refer to steel schedule for thickness). Manufacturer guidance Facing notes: maximum board length for beam encasements is 1200 mm.
Fasteners	Board to frame: self tapping drywall screws at maximum 300 mm centres. Board to board: high thread drywall screws at maximum 200 mm centres. Weather performance	Exposure up to 6 months. Guidance for specification option: Promat VERMICULUX®-S can be left exposed for up to 6 months during the construction phase, subject to the following qualifications: the boards must not be left in standing or pooling water or be subjected to any water run-off from roof or slab structures above (protection can be provided by temporary waterproofing measures) and all cut edges should be sealed using FSi Promat Pyrolastic® Silicone, a fire resistant silicone, prior to installation to help prevent any long-term moisture ingress. This is particularly important when considering structural protection to perimeter/edge beams.
Finishes	Decorative. Guidance for specification option: Decorative finishes should be applied in accordance with Promat TDS 056 (https://www.promat.com/en-gb/construction/documentation/) and Appendix Section 7 of the Promat Passive Fire Protection Handbook (https://www.promat.com/en-gb/construction/tools-services/fire-protection-handbook/). Non-decorative. Guidance for specification option: Boards can be left untreated or painted.
Sealant	FSi Promat Pyrocoustic® Fire Resistant Sealant. Guidance for specification option: All boards abutting surrounding structure may be sealed using FSi Promat Pyrocoustic® Fire Resistant Sealant - not required for fire resistance.
