Rosecroft Primary School
Dunhams Washroom Systems
The ChallengeRosecroft Primary School, formerly known as Attleborough Primary School, began the new school year in a modern, purpose-built building, requiring completely new toilet and washroom facilities. The challenge was to design and manufacture washrooms suitable for a variety of age groups, including Reception, Nursery, Key Stage One, and Key Stage Two pupils. Additionally, the project had to accommodate all necessary washroom components, such as cubicle systems, vanity units, hand wash troughs, and duct systems, while also taking into account the design’s colour specifications to match the school’s new look. The SolutionDunhams Washrooms worked closely with contractor RG Carter and architects NPS to provide the best washroom solutions tailored to the school’s needs. For the Nursery and Reception washrooms, Dunhams Kinder Cubicles were chosen. These low-level cubicles with a curved panel design allow for easy supervision while still maintaining privacy for younger pupils. For Key Stage 1, Junior Altitude Cubicles were used, providing privacy for students but also allowing for supervision when required. As the children matured in Key Stage 2, the design shifted to full-height Altitude for Education SGL Cubicles, offering complete privacy and security for older pupils. To complement the cubicles, Corian handwash trough were installed on top of Vanity Units, ensuring both durability and a modern look. The Duct Plus system was used to conceal pipes and plumbing, creating a clean and streamlined appearance. The OutcomeThe washrooms at Rosecroft Primary School now offer a functional, aesthetically pleasing, and age-appropriate solution for all students, from Nursery to Key Stage 2. The carefully selected Kinder Cubicles, Junior Altitude SGL, and Altitude for Education SGL Cubicles ensure privacy and supervision are balanced for each age group. The Corian handwash troughs, Vanity Units, and Duct Plus system complete the washroom’s design, ensuring ease of maintenance and a modern, cohesive look. The architect commented, “I am very pleased with how things turned out at Rosecroft – thanks for all your hard work on this.”
