As part of the Central Street regeneration scheme in Bolton, RYNO was chosen to provide a complete outdoor surface and planter system across multiple levels of the new development. With Caddick Construction leading the build, the project incorporates a blend of terraces, balconies, and walkways designed to create modern, high-quality residential living spaces. The Challenge The Central Street development required a flexible and durable system that could adapt to a variety of outdoor applications – including communal terraces, private balconies, and connecting walkways. The specification initially called for an alternative supplier, but through the expertise and input of Oliver Sweeney (Weatherfix), much of the design was switched to RYNO. The challenge lay in delivering multiple surface solutions and planter systems while ensuring a seamless, coordinated finish across the development. The Solution: Working in close partnership with Weatherfix, RYNO supplied a complete outdoor system designed for performance, aesthetics, and efficiency. Planter System: TerraSmart® Ledge Bespoke Planter – finished in RAL 3004 powder coating, providing a refined edge detail for terraces. Balconies: Aluminium Decking (ADB-60) – fire-rated, lightweight, and engineered for long-term durability. Walkways: RYNO Concrete Slabs – offering strength and stability for high-traffic access routes. Terraces: Porcelain paving (by others) – supported on a RYNO subframe for precision alignment and lasting performance. Ramps: Terrasmart Rail Paving System – ensuring compliance and accessibility across level changes. By supplying multiple integrated solutions, RYNO enabled the contractor team to streamline installation and maintain design consistency across varied spaces. Key Benefits of our Integrated Systems Integrated Systems: One supplier delivering decking, paving support, rail systems, and planters for complete coordination. Durability & Safety: Aluminium decking and concrete slab systems designed for long-term performance in residential environments. Design-Led Finish: RAL 3004 powder coated planters provided a contemporary edge detail that complements the wider scheme. Flexibility: Systems adapted for use on balconies, terraces, walkways, and ramps – all with a consistent installation method. Contractor Support: RYNO worked closely with Weatherfix and Caddick to ensure smooth specification, supply, and installation.Collaborative Approach: Supporting Weatherfix & Caddick Collaboration was central to this project’s success.
